appointment within 30 calendar days. - Presence of one is required: - Abnormal serum protein electrophoresis - Abnormal free light chains (FLC) - Bence Jones protein in urine - AND if ALL of the following present: - Recent onset unexplained anaemia - Lytic bone lesions - Recent unexplained mild to moderate renal impairment
Cat 2 · 90 days
appointment within 90 calendar days. - Presence of one is required: - Abnormal serum protein electrophoresis - Abnormal free light chains (FLC) - Bence Jones protein in urine - AND if ALL of the following present: - Well, asymptomatic patient - Normal FBC and chemistry - No history of bone pain or new unexplained back pain Categorisation depends on subtype and amount of monoclonal protein.

appointment within 365 calendar days. - No category 3 criteria
Referral will be returned without this. If a mandatory test cannot be obtained, say so in the referral.

It is proposed that the following are not routinely provided in a public Haematology service The following are not routinely provided in a public Haematology service. - Elevated ferritin with normal/low transferrin saturation unless specific concerns - Simple folate, B12 deficiency - Isolated lymphopenia without evidence of lymphoproliferative disorder - Mild stable isolated cytopenia (Neutrophils >1.5, platelets >100, Hb>100) with unremarkable blood film - Isolated raised ESR, CRP or microglobulin without evidence of lymphoproliferative disorder or myeloma - Isolated red cell macrocytosis without cytopenia’s and otherwise unremarkable blood film - Iron deficiency with Hb >100
