appointment within 365 calendar days. - Known history of stable Von Willebrand’s disease with no significant bleeding
Essential referral information
Referral will be returned without this. If a mandatory test cannot be obtained, say so in the referral.
- Presence of any red flags (pregnancy) - Detailed family history - History of epistaxis, post tooth extraction bleeding, post-partum haemorrhage etc - Coagulation screen - Von Willebrand assay
Out of scope / wrong door
Not all services are appropriate to be seen in the Queensland public health system. Exceptions can always be made where clinically indicated. It is proposed that the following are not routinely provided in a public Haematology service The following are not routinely provided in a public Haematology service. - Elevated ferritin with normal/low transferrin saturation unless specific concerns - Simple folate, B12 deficiency - Isolated lymphopenia without evidence of lymphoproliferative disorder - Mild stable isolated cytopenia (Neutrophils >1.5, platelets >100, Hb>100) with unremarkable blood film - Isolated raised ESR, CRP or microglobulin without evidence of lymphoproliferative disorder or myeloma - Isolated red cell macrocytosis without cytopenia’s and otherwise unremarkable blood film - Iron deficiency with Hb >100
