Cat 1 · 30 days
appointment within 30 calendar days. - Acute wound or ulcer of uncertain aetiology that is progressing in size despite maximal medical management1,2 - Acute onset ulcer in patients receiving high dose steroids or immunosuppressive agents
Cat 2 · 90 days
appointment within 90 calendar days. - Subacute or chronic wound/ulcer of uncertain aetiology that is not responding to maximal medical management
Cat 3 · 365 days
appointment within 365 calendar days. - No category 3 criteria
Referral will be returned without this. If a mandatory test cannot be obtained, say so in the referral.
- Co-morbidities and past medical history - Wound history e.g. duration, description and size, wound initiating event - Details of all treatments offered, and efficacy to date e.g. type of dressings used, date of commencement of any antibiotics with dose prescribed.
