Cat 1 · 30 days
appointment within 30 calendar days. - Episodes of acute urinary retention associated with poor urinary stream - Pin hole preputial orifice with very poor urinary stream (BXO - Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans) - A child currently in out of home care (OOHC) or at risk of entering or leaving OOHC, where they have previously been on a waiting list for this problem and were removed without receiving a service
Cat 2 · 90 days
appointment within 90 calendar days. - New hypospadias preferably over 3 months of age (exclude cases that maybe intersex condition prior to referral to outpatients) - Meatal stenosis not associated with retention - Difficulty with retraction associated with spraying urinary stream, ballooning or discomfort and failed trial of management by steroid cream - Recurrent infective balanitis phimosis
Cat 3 · 365 days
appointment within 365 calendar days. - Inability to retract foreskin after 10 years of age - Clinical indication for circumcision and failed conservative treatment - Difficulty with retraction associated with ballooning or discomfort and no other previous management
Referral will be returned without this. If a mandatory test cannot be obtained, say so in the referral.
- Evaluate adequacy of urinary stream - History of any change in continence - Confirmation of out of home care (OOHC) (where appropriate)
The following conditions are out of scope for this service: - Cosmetic not related to congenital anomalies/abnormalities - Conditions of the mature breast - Circumcisions social/religious reasons - disorders of post pubertal menstruation and - conditions of pregnancy - Disorders of post pubertal menstruation conditions of pregnancy - Bariatric Service
